The James E. Moore Pool has been a part of the Aspen Parks & Recreation Department for over 30 years.  Two pools have replaced the old six-laner in the new Aspen Recreation Center natatorium. One pool is a 25-yard, six lane, 4 to 12- foot deep competitive pool with a one meter diving board. The second pool is a zero to 4-foot deep recreation pool, complete with a two-story slide, lazy river and spray features to keep even the youngest child entertained.

Safety, fitness and fun are the themes at the ARC pools.  Learn to Swim classes are regularly scheduled for all levels.  Those who are not into lap swimming can take advantage of the benefits of an aquatic workout.  You will be impressed with the depth of our water fitness programs.  The ARC offers AFY AP (Arthritis Foundation) certified programs for seniors and special populations, as well as the latest trend in aquatic spinning, the hydrorider. The ARC has it!
