This rigorous Critical Dialog program is open to practicing artists who want to take their work and careers to a new level with a unique opportunity to engage with: Alex Israel, artist; Bettina Korek, arts advocate and writer; and Hans Ulrich Obrist, museum director and curator. This course combines lectures, discussions, readings, writing prompts and individual and group critiques to guide students deeper into the concepts behind their work and their agency in the contemporary art world. In relation to the increased importance of curatorial practices in contemporary art exhibitions and collecting, participants discover new modes of working and a greater understanding of the genesis of the professional artist.
