Inspired by alternative country and a love for musicals, Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke perform on November 12 at 7:30 p.m. as singer/songwriters Penny & Sparrow. Formed in 2011 in Austin, Texas, the duo began their musical endeavor after living as roommates at the University of Texas. Their first tune, “Creature,” was recorded in a small apartment behind an orphanage with one microphone and a laptop. They have since released three raw and emotive albums and travel the world performing at festivals and theaters.
