In 2017 Matthew Cull bicycled solo and unsupported through the Pamir Mountains of Tajikistan and the Tien Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Supremely spectacular, perpetually bad roads, oasis villages of friendly Tajik people, Kyrgyz nomads living in yurts and herding animals, huge mountains, mountain grasslands.
