10 Best Après-Ski Patios in Aspen

Warmer temperatures and longer days make spring après-ski a must. Check out our guide to the best patios in Aspen for soaking up the sun after a rewarding day on the slopes.

 

The Snow Lodge

Every weekend through March, the Après-Ski Music Series presents outdoor music, featuring major headliners and DJs. Located in the St. Regis Fountain Courtyard, its close proximity to the base of Aspen Mountain provides an easy transition from a day on the slopes to après-ski.

 

Aspen Art Museum

On select Saturdays from 5-9 pm, the Aspen Art Museum hosts their Après Series, offering refreshing cocktails and live music. Situated in the heart of downtown Aspen, the rooftop is an outdoor venue with breathtaking views of the city and the slopes. As a bonus, explore the galleries at the Aspen Art Museum before they close at 6 pm.

 

Eleven212 Aspen Mountain

 

Eleven212

Located at the top of Aspen Mountain, Eleven212 features panoramic Elk Mountain views and an expansive outdoor space, making it the ultimate on-mountain après-ski experience. Enjoy an afternoon of live music accompanied by a curated assortment of food and drinks. Accessible by skis or foot, Eleven212 offers open-air cabins, reserved seating, and first-come, first-serve free entry, providing an experience for everyone. 

 

Ajax Tavern

Located at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola, the sun-soaked patio at Ajax Tavern is a must after a day of spring skiing on Aspen Mountain. Known for tasty bites, like truffle fries, Ajax Tavern’s expectational food and drinks complement mountain views.

 

Bonnie's on Aspen Mountain

 

Bonnie's

Bonnie’s is a mid-mountain restaurant best known for its 1960s decor and breakfast and lunch specialties. With a large, outdoor deck and plenty of sunny spring days, Bonnie’s is an ideal spot to relax between runs and experience on-mountain après-ski.

 

Sundeck

Located at the top of Aspen Mountain, the Sundeck is known for 360º mountain views. On select days, experience on-mountain après by unwinding on the spacious, sun-soaked patio and enjoying a selection of refreshments.   

 

Hotel Jerome Garden

 

Hotel Jerome

The Hotel Jerome Winter Garden provides a unique après-ski experience: curling and cocktails. Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced player, the Jerome invites guests of all abilities to try curling, a winter Olympic sport played on ice. Paired with a selection of cocktails, this après-ski event is one of a kind. 

 

W Aspen

Experience one of Aspen’s most vibrant après-ski experiences at the W Aspen. Its rooftop pools, hot tubs, fire pits, and stunning mountain views give après goers the chance to enjoy amenities, craft cocktails, and a selection of food at the WET Deck. 

 

Alehouse Aprés

 

Merry-Go-Round

Known as a relaxed local’s spot, the Merry-Go-Round is an on-mountain restaurant offering après-ski on select days. Situated atop Aspen Highlands’ Exhibition Lift, stop by to enjoy DJ sets and refreshments between turns. To finish off an epic day on the slopes, the fun continues at Highlands Alehouse, located at the base of Aspen Highlands. 

 

Buttermilk Mountain Lodge

Part of the Buttermilk Mountain Lodge, The Backyard, is a family-friendly, mountainside après-ski spot ideal for basking in the sun or warming up with heated seating. Every Saturday, end a day on the slopes with craft cocktails, an outdoor grill, and DJ sets.
