This week's guest blog comes from Sarah Roy, Director of The Red Brick Center for the Arts. Read blow as she gives you a special look inside The Red Brick and their creative programming.
Are you visiting Aspen and wondering what is it like to live here? Asking yourself who are the locals? Or perhaps Aspen is your home and you are wanting to meet new people and get involved in the community. Come visit the Red Brick Center for the Arts and you will be able to experience a behind-the-scenes look and meet individuals who are helping shape the town.
The Red Brick is home to 8 nonprofits who create enriching programming for the benefit and enjoyment of locals and visitors. Many of the nonprofits are multi-decade long organizations that bring nationally and internationally recognized artists, films, performances to Aspen making it into a small town with a big town feel. The Red Brick is also home to 12 artists who have studio and retail space. These artists work range from ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting, and jewelry design. In addition, the Red Brick boasts a gallery that features exhibitions of contemporary work made by regional artists. Come get to know the Red Brick to see the community at work and mingle with the action.
