How has the Colorado Green Business Network Program been helpful to you?
We get good recognition at the state level for the sustainability work that we’ve been doing. We’re also part of a community of like-minded businesses for inspiration and sharing ideas.
Sustainability Initiatives Highlights
- Sustainability initiatives are fundamental to Alpine Bank's business - all branches across Colorado are part of the Colorado Green Business Network!
- Composting and encouraging neighbors to do so
- Tracking our building performance and energy use over time, and implementing improvements like window glazing and LED lighting retrofits. The LED retrofit we did 10+ years ago has had tremendous impact, along with all the improvements we've done to our building; it's what we are most proud of.
- 100% of staff at the Aspen branch participates in volunteer programs. As a community bank, we encourage our staff to support non-profits and volunteerism with 24-hours of paid volunteer time annually.
Why Should Other Businesses Join the Program?
Little fixes can have big impacts.
