The Ultimate Guide to Closing Day Celebrations
As ski season winds down, carve final turns and celebrate the end of another epic season at the upcoming closing day festivities.
Check out our Aspen Snowmass closing day guide to close out the 25/26 season in style.
Snowmass Mountain (April 11th & 12th)
On April 11th, the annual Elk Camp Snow Beach Party returns. Party goers will enjoy a lively après party complete with live DJs and hot tubs. This snow and beach themed closing day party offers fun for everyone, even non-skiers; the Elk Camp Gondola is free to those on foot after 12 pm. Even after the chairs stop turning, the festivities continue in the Base Village with bumping music. On April 12th, skiers and snowboarders can carve their final turns of the season on Snowmass. From smooth groomers to steep terrain, closing day at Snowmass offers terrain for a range of abilities.
Aspen Mountain (April 19th)
With views of downtown Aspen and soft, slushy conditions, closing day at Aspen Mountain is the place to be. Like closing day at Aspen Highlands, mixed and matched ski attire and random costumes are part of the fun. Located at the top of Aspen Mountain, the Sundeck is an on-mountain restaurant with panoramic mountain views. After carving final turns, there’s no better way to end the season than drinking bubbly and dancing at the Sundeck. Up for more action? Take a turn on the Slip n' Slide to top off an epic spring ski day.
The Silver Queen Gondola is free to foot traffic after 12 pm on closing day.
Aspen Highlands (Early Closure - March 29th)
Costumes and party scenes are staples on closing day at Aspen Highlands. With spirited on-mountain celebrations and no shortage of eye-catching outfits, get ready for an action-packed day. Cloud Nine, an on-mountain bistro known for champagne sprays and DJ sets, is sure to be a closing day hot spot. The Merry-Go-Round, located at the top of Exhibition Lift, will host a DJ and offer specials. Take in views from the bottom of the mountain and top off the season at Aspen Highlands by grabbing a bite at the Highlands Alehouse. Highland Bowl is expected to open for limited hours this weekend (March 27th - 29th).
Enjoy the closing day events, but please remember to celebrate responsibly. While it’s hard to say goodbye to ski season, spring is stacked with more exciting outdoor adventures and events.
