On summer nights, our mountain town comes alive with live music, cocktails, and people looking for a good time. From high energy clubs to western-style bars to upscale lounges, there are plenty of ways to experience nightlife in Aspen.

Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar

Hooch specializes in cocktails, creating innovative mixtures of flavors on their extensive cocktail menu. Beer and wine lovers don’t have to worry- Hooch offers a selection of other beverages complemented by small plates. Hooch’s dimly lit lounge offers a relaxing, laid-back way to enjoy a night out.

 

Stranahan’s Whiskey Lodge

Located on the walking mall near Wagner Park, Stranahan’s Whiskey Lodge is set in the heart of downtown Aspen. Stranahan’s is known for American Single Malt, creating Colorado’s first Rocky Mountain Single Malt, Stranahan’s® Colorado whiskey, in 2004. Choose from an extensive selection of whiskey and cocktails while kicking back in their western style bar.

 

Bad Harriet

Part of the iconic Hotel Jerome, Bad Harriet is an underground speakeasy, known for refined, hand-crafted cocktails and a stylish ambiance. Located underneath the historic Aspen Times building, Bad Harriet’s decor, including low lighting and leather upholstery, provides an upscale late-night experience.

Restaurants & Bars

J-Bar

Located inside the Hotel Jerome, J-Bar is part of Aspen’s history, acting as the town’s social hub since the 19th century. Kick back in this casual, western style bar while indulging in American classics and sipping refreshing beverages- it’s a great way to finish off a day in Aspen!

 

Aspen Public House

Located in the historic Wheeler Opera House, Public House has a rustic ambiance, combining Victorian and Colonial styles. Independently owned and operated, Aspen Public House is a community gathering spot, serving affordable, locally inspired dishes throughout the day. At night, Public House comes to life with a lively full-service bar.

 

Madame Ushi

Enjoy a fine dining experience at Madame Ushi with premium sushi and Izakaya-inspired dishes. Located underground, Madame Ushi transforms into a late-night social scene, hosting top DJs and bringing a nightclub experience to the restaurant.

 

BUCK

BUCK (the Bar Under Cooper) is a local gathering spot, offering tasty American food and an old school ski bar scene. Drop by BUCK for a high-energy game day or a more affordable, and equally lively, night on the town.

Silver City Saloon

Centrally located in the nearly 150-year-old Elks Building, Silver City has a traditional western feel with modern elements. Head down to this mountain saloon for a large selection of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits paired with live music from touring bands and local favorites.

 

Belly Up

Since opening in 2005, Belly Up has been known as Aspen’s premier live music venue. From local acts to big name artists, Belly Up gives concert goers the chance to experience talented musicians in an intimate setting.

 

The Sterling Aspen

The Sterling Aspen is a lounge and nightclub, known for craft cocktails and shareable bites complemented by live music and DJ sets. With colorful lighting and room to stand or sit, Sterling Aspen offers a fun, social atmosphere.

 

Escobar Aspen

Escobar’s live DJs and tunnel shaped interior, complete with checkered floors, colorful lights, and a dance-floor, bring a vibrant nightlife experience to Aspen. During the summer, grab a seat at Escobar’s street level patio bar, located on the pedestrian mall, to enjoy an outdoor social scene in the heart of downtown Aspen.
