Toyota U.S. Grand Prix
What is it?
The Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, a staple on the FIS World Cup circuit, is an elite competition featuring slopestyle and halfpipe events. With Olympic and World Cup points at stake, the most talented athletes in their discipline will compete in Aspen Snowmass.
What can I expect?
Spectators will watch athletes push the boundaries of their sport in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. After a morning of spectating, extend the excitement with lively après at The Backyard at Buttermilk Mountain Lodge. Watch the competition from the deck while unwinding with DJ sets and refreshing drinks; plus, don’t miss the chance to meet the athletes!
When is it?
The Toyota U.S. Grand Prix will be held at Buttermilk from January 7th - 10th, 2026.
How do I attend?
The competition is open to the public and free.
X Games Aspen
What is it?
X Games Aspen is an annual snow sports competition that brings premier athletes from around the world to our mountain town. The weekend features a full lineup of ski, snowboard, and snowmobile competitions, live music, and festival experiences.
What can I expect?
Watch some of the most talented athletes in snow sports compete in exhilarating events, including the big air, slopestyle, and superpipe, plus much more. Stand along the half pipe or at the base of the course as the athletes catch air and pull off grabs, rotations, flips, and other impressive tricks. Between competitions, attendees can enjoy free daytime live music and ticketed evening performances from Disco Lines on Friday and Alesso on Saturday.
When is it?
X Games Aspen returns to Buttermilk from January 23rd – 25th, 2026, for their 25th consecutive year.
How do I attend?
X Games Aspen offers free daytime admission until 4 pm. To watch the evening competitions and concerts, purchase either a single-day or three-day general admission ticket. For an elevated experience, purchase a Silver Lounge or Gold Lounge ticket.
The Snow League
What is it?
Created by renowned snowboarder Shaun White, The Snow League is a professional snowboarding league that hosts a full season of global competitions. Athletes earn points based on their results at each event, leading to the crowning of The Snow League World Champion at the end of the season.
What can I expect?
Days after the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, The Snow League brings the world’s top snowboarders back to Aspen Snowmass for two days of head-to-head halfpipe competitions. Catch the action from the base of the course or on the pipe walls and stay tuned for more excitement, including athlete appearances, concerts, and additional experiences.
When is it?
The Snow League returns to Buttermilk from February 27th – 28th, 2026.
How do I attend?
If you hold an Aspen Snowmass lift ticket or season pass on February 27th-28th, use your Aspen Card for complimentary access to the General Admission area, first-come, first-served. For those without an Aspen Snowmass lift ticket, purchase a general admission ticket to the qualifying day on Friday or finals day on Saturday. Premium admission grants ticket holders access to the Snow Deck, an exclusive outdoor viewing area at the base of the halfpipe, complete with video screens and complimentary food and beverage.
