Who We Are
Mawa's Kitchen is the hidden jewel of Aspen. The MICHELIN Guide recommended restaurant is the flagship eatery of owner and executive chef Mawa McQueen, James Beard Award semifinalist nominee 2022 & 2022 Colorado Governor's Minority Business Award Winner. The menu at Mawa's Kitchen is hyper seasonal and reflects Mawa's international heritage serving up Afro-Mediterranean cuisine with French-American flair.
Ambiance
Get comfortable in our cozy dining room or relax on our shady, scenic patio that is open from late Spring to early Fall. Inside the restaurant, you will find an ambiance like no other. Colors that bring a warm welcome along with art pieces that show Mawa’s roots and local artists. Have a seat at our full-service bar where you can enjoy a cocktail with our house-made juices or one of our many curated wines as you gaze out our wall of glass windows. Enjoy fine dining at our tables with family and friends where you can experience many cultural dishes to satisfy your palate.
Food
Imaginative, Fresh, Locally Sourced, Organic, and Global. The food you will find at Mawa’s Kitchen is mostly Mediterranean with French and African heritage for Dinner as well as American Classics for breakfast and lunch. We can accommodate the following dietary preferences: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Low Salt, and Diabetic Friendly. One unique aspect of Mawa’s Kitchen is that every year Mawa selects a new global ingredient to feature. This ingredient is showcased on each of her seasonal menus.

Location
Mawa’s Kitchen is off the beaten path and located in the Aspen Airport Business Center. It may be hard for some to find but well worth the search! We are located conveniently to the airport, downtown Aspen and Snowmass Village with plenty of parking.
Don’t let our façade fool you. Everything at Mawa’s Kitchen is designed to put you “outside of the box” when it comes to dining.
Services
Mawa’s Kitchen offers Lunch on weekdays, Dinner nightly, and Brunch on Friday and weekends. We also offer full-service Event Catering, Private Chef, and In-Flight Dining on private aircraft out of Aspen Airport.
