Beyond Strumming – Creative Guitar Workshop with Kaki King
Composer and musician Kaki King is known both for her technical mastery and for her constant quest to push the boundaries of the guitar. In this workshop, participants will learn about Kaki’s approach of deconstructing and reconstructing norms of guitar playing and composing. With group work involving Kaki’s music and an invitation to share excerpts of their personal compositions, participants will explore how to apply her techniques to their own musical style.Best for beginners to advanced guitar players.This workshop is free, but advance registration is required. Space is limited.
