March 1–29, 2026 — Forre Fine Art is proud to present Conversations with Creatives: Her Story, a month-long series celebrating the voices, visions, and vivacity of women artists. The exhibition and speaker series runs every Sunday in March, offering intimate, inspired conversations with contemporary women shaping the art world today.
Doors open at 5:00 PM, with conversations from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a Q&A. Seating is limited; attendees are encouraged to arrive by 5:00 PM. RSVP at gabrielle@forrefineart.com.
In recognition of International Women’s Month, Forre Fine Art curates a four-week program that honors female creativity across media, disciplines, and continents.
Each Sunday features a distinguished artist who will share her practice, the challenges and triumphs of a woman in the arts, and the journeys that brought her to the present moment. The conversations aim to illuminate the personal narratives behind contemporary art, spark dialogue, and celebrate the resilience, innovation, and leadership of women creators.
The Speakers:
March 1 — Suzan Obermeyer is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice probes the materiality of painting—exploring thin, sheer layers, mountainous topographies, and painting as a poem. With fearless curiosity, she brings fresh perspectives on how travel and cross-cultural dialogue fuel creative risk-taking. Fresh from the VI Argentine Biennial as an international speaker, Suzan is advancing in Anderson Ranch’s three-year Advanced Mentored Painting Program and will begin an International Artist Residency at Chateau Orquevaux, France, this April. Her work, celebrated worldwide for its intimate scale and expansive ideas, invites audiences to see painting as a dynamic conversation across cultures. Suzan will share how content informs materiality and how exploration becomes art.
March 8 — Julia Scheuer presents “Peaks to Paint”. Scheuer’s landscape-based practice blends observational painting with memory, climate, and topography. “Peaks to Paint” invites audiences to traverse jagged ridges and serene summits through color, texture, and light. Scheuer’s work often engages with environmental themes, highlighting the beauty and fragility of high-alpine ecosystems, while honoring the labor, maps, and metaphors that guide a painter’s ascent. Expect a lively dialogue on process, materiality, and the emotional geography of place.
March 15 — Gail Folwell is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, painting, and design. Known for a wide emotional and thematic range, she is a local luminary whose work centers on social, physical, and intellectual connection. From monument to gallery scale, her human-centric expressions resonate with audiences worldwide. A committed champion of leadership and mentorship, Folwell empowers viewers to think, feel, act, and reflect.
March 22 — Paula Crown: Multimedia Artist and Social Activist, Paula merges visual art with social and environmental advocacy. A prominent multimedia artist, Crown’s practice spans sculpture, video, painting, and public art interventions that interrogate perception, responsibility, and the role of art in social change. Her activism foregrounds environmental stewardship and community resilience, inspiring audiences to consider how art can mobilize action, dialogue, and hope. Crown’s talk will illuminate the intersection of aesthetics and activism, offering a powerful lens on contemporary practice.
March 29 — Nancy Furlotti, PhD, “Jungian Lens on Women and Art” Dr. Nancy Furlotti brings a Jungian perspective to women’s creative expression, examining archetypes, dream imagery, and the collective unconscious as they appear in contemporary art. Her talk will explore how myth, psychology, and gender intersect in visual storytelling, inviting attendees to view their own creative journeys through a Jungian lens. As a respected scholar, Furlotti enriches the program with rigorous analysis and a compassionate invitation to engage deeply with art and psyche.
