Gallery Reception: The Weight of Light
Anderson Ranch Arts Center invites the community to join a reception celebrating The Weight of Light, an exhibition by artist Benjamin Timpson, on Thursday, October 8, from 5–6 p.m. in the Patton-Malott Gallery.
The exhibition brings together butterfly-wing portraits from Timpson’s Illuminated Lives series with new works exploring glass, resin, and light. Through layered and translucent materials, Timpson examines themes of memory, resilience, loss, fragility, and transformation.
The reception offers an opportunity to experience the exhibition, meet fellow community members, and explore Timpson’s ongoing artistic investigation of light, survival, and metamorphosis. The exhibition will be on view through October 30, 2026.
