Southern Avenue
Southern Avenue is a GRAMMY-nominated, Blues Music Award-winning Memphis band built on deep musical and personal bonds. Led by vocalist/songwriter Tierinii Jackson, her husband and guitarist Ori Naftaly, and her sisters Tikyra “T.K.” Jackson and Ava Jackson, the group blends Memphis blues, modern soul, gospel, and roots music into an uplifting, message-driven sound. Their church-born harmonies and Naftaly’s love of American soul and blues form a unique musical chemistry that has earned worldwide acclaim and a reputation as one of the most electrifying live bands on the road.
Their new album, Family—their first for Alligator Records—captures the band’s evolution and the unshakeable unity that defines them. Produced by GRAMMY winner John Burk and recorded at Memphis’ iconic Royal Studios, the album showcases powerful grooves, warm harmonies, and emotionally charged songwriting. Tracks like Long Is The Road, Found A Friend In You, Rum Boogie, and We Are highlight themes of resilience, connection, and hope, while channeling the spirit of Memphis through a modern lens. The band describes the record as both a celebration of survival and an invitation for fans to become part of their extended musical family.
Since forming in Memphis—where Naftaly and Tierinii first connected in a moment he calls “destiny in the making”—Southern Avenue has released a series of acclaimed albums, including their 2017 Stax Records debut, their GRAMMY-nominated Keep On, and 2021’s Be The Love You Want. They’ve toured globally, shared stages with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sheryl Crow, Los Lobos, and Willie Nelson, and were repeatedly nominated for Blues Band of the Year. As they head into a major tour behind Family, Southern Avenue continues to expand their community through heartfelt, high-energy performances that turn listeners into family.
