Watercolor in the Garden at The Little Nell
Set within the serene grounds of The Little Nell’s pool courtyard, this intimate experience begins with a guided garden tour led by Arabella, the hotel’s resident gardener, offering seasonal insight and inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Guests then gather at a long table in the pool courtyard for a thoughtfully curated watercolor atelier led by artist Amy Beidleman, with each session exploring a distinct creative theme, held from 3–5 pm on Wednesday, June 17th; July 1st; and August 26th.
Amy Beidleman is an Aspen-based watercolor artist, curator, and educator who has been capturing the spirit of the Roaring Fork Valley since 1978. After a 20-year career as a bank CFO, Amy launched her professional art practice in 2010. Her work is featured in shops throughout Colorado and Wisconsin and held in numerous private and business collections. As the water media curator for the Aspen Chapel Gallery, Amy is a central figure in the local arts scene, frequently donating her talent and artwork to support area non-profits.
Watercolor instruction and all materials are provided, welcoming both beginners and seasoned artists alike. The experience is complemented by a glass of rosé or wine, sparkling water, and a seasonal sorbet to conclude.
