Aspen Chamber Resort Association Opens New Visitor Center Downtown

New Armory location offers enhanced accessibility and a stronger connection to the heart of Aspen

ASPEN, Colo. (May 1, 2025) – The Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) is pleased to announce the relocation of its main Visitor Center and administrative offices to a new, centralized location in the heart of downtown Aspen. Effective today, the Visitor Center and ACRA administrative functions are now operating out of the Armory, located at 130 South Galena Street.

This move brings both entities to the first floor of the historic Armory building, offering enhanced accessibility and a stronger connection to the downtown core. The public-access Visitor Center, where guest services will continue to greet and serve visitors and residents alike, is conveniently situated near the Galena Street entrance. Guests needing to conduct business with the Chamber will check in at the Visitor Services desk.

"This move represents an exciting new chapter for ACRA and the Aspen visitor experience," said Jennifer Albright Carney, ACRA’s chief operating officer. "The Armory's central location will provide immediate access to businesses and experiences, making it easier than ever for guests to explore all that Aspen has to offer. We believe this will lead to increased engagement and a more enriching visit for everyone."

The new location boasts several benefits for the community and visitors:

  • Centralized Downtown Location: A stronger connection to the heart of Aspen, offering immediate access to businesses and experiences in town.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Walkable and easily accessible for both visitors and local businesses.
  • Historic Landmark: The Armory building, built in 1892, adds a touch of Aspen's rich history to the visitor experience.
  • On-site Public Restrooms.

A limited number of temporary (15 min.) visitor parking spots, including ADA access, will be available in the alley behind the Armory. Additionally, one 15-minute RV parking spot will be located adjacent to the Armory off of Hopkins Avenue. Visitors are encouraged to utilize the public parking garage for extended visits.

ACRA looks forward to welcoming visitors and the community to its new location at the Armory beginning May 1, 2025. Operating hours will remain Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
