5 Reasons to Consider an Aspen Wedding

T Lazy 7 Wedding

Choosing the perfect location for your destination wedding requires a great deal of decision making. From venue options, vendor selections and making sure your guests have an unforgettable experience, we have come up with the top 5 reasons you should consider an Aspen wedding.

Wedding

1. The Backdrop

Mountain venues combine the refinement of Aspen with the rugged beauty of the surrounding peaks for an unforgettable wedding. Perched atop Aspen Mountain looking out over Aspen Highlands’ Bowl, lays the Wedding Deck, accessible by the Silver Queen Gondola, it is designed specifically for wedding ceremonies. After the ceremony, guests can celebrate at The Sundeck. The lodge atmosphere features high ceilings, rough-hewn timbers, and a wrap-around deck overlooking miles of Rocky Mountain wilderness. In the same building, the elegant ASPENX Mountain Club is available for smaller affairs. On Buttermilk Mountain, the Buttermilk Mountain Lodge (at the base) and the Cliffhouse (at the top) are also great options for the outdoorsy couple. T-Lazy-7 Ranch located just outside of Aspen, set in the gorgeous Maroon Creek Valley, features a Western log lodge and outdoor grounds for parties. For the ultimate adventure, the Pine Creek Cookhouse combines stunning views of the Ashcroft Valley and Star Peak with gourmet mountain cuisine in an impeccable log cabin setting.

Hiking

2. Activities for The Crowd

No matter how adventurous your entourage, they will have the vacation of their lives in Aspen. Activities available in Aspen include whitewater rafting, hiking, off-road jeeping, golfing, cycling, mountain biking, skiing and so much more. Additional trip highlights for any Aspen vacation includes the Maroon Bells, John Denver Sanctuary, and Independence Pass.

3. Plenty of Pros to Handle All of Your Needs

This town knows how to throw a party, from an extravagant gala to an intimate soirée. No matter what your hopes are for getting hitched, Aspen’s planners can carry them off without a hitch. To get a head start on planning your destination wedding in Aspen, click here.

Wedding Appetizers

4. Delicious Local Fare

With more than 80 eateries in downtown Aspen alone, every block of our town brings old favorites together with fresh menus and new talent to provide enough culinary options to please any palate. Look for trends in farm to table, mac n’ cheese and kale salads, but don’t forget the good old fashioned staples, too!

Airport

5. How to Get Here

You can arrive in Aspen by car, shuttle or plane. With direct flights to 9 airline hubs in the winter and 7 in the summer, flying into Aspen Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is a breeze. Once you touchdown in our mountain paradise downtown Aspen is just 3 miles away. If you would rather a flight into one of our surrounding airports we are sure you will enjoy the scenic drive into Aspen. To help offset the carbon footprint of yours and your guests travel to Aspen, for each wedding sourced through ACRA we will make a donation in the amount of $100 to The Good Traveler, whose platform makes air travel more sustainable. Learn more about our booking incentives here.
