5. A Wedding Any Time of Year
The best time of year to have a wedding in Aspen depends on the scenery and overall experience you’re envisioning. Winter weddings span from December through April, with the most reliable snowfall from late January to early March, offering true winter-wonderland vibes and a wide range of seasonal activities. The ski season typically ends in mid-April, signaling the close of winter in Aspen. Spring is our least recommended season, as May is considered “mud season,” when weather can be unpredictable, roads may remain closed, and venue availability is limited due to lingering snow and cooler temperatures. Summer weddings run from June through early September and are especially popular, with wildflowers reaching peak bloom in late July. Fall weddings take place from mid-September to mid-October, when golden aspens and crisp mountain air create a stunning setting for an outdoor celebration.

You can arrive in Aspen by car, shuttle or plane. With direct flights to 9 airline hubs in the winter and 7 in the summer, flying into Aspen Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is a breeze. Once you touchdown in our mountain paradise downtown Aspen is just 3 miles away.
