Art Week returns to Aspen on July 27th, bringing arts and culture from around the globe to the Rocky Mountains.

AIR 2026
What is it?
AIR is the Aspen Art Museum’s forward-thinking, annual festival of contemporary art, performance, and ideas. This year's theme, AIR 2026: Figures in a Landscape, reflects a motif across painting, literature, film, and music, taking inspiration from the interdisciplinary spirit of AIR. Rooted in year-round programming, AIR gathers some of today’s most innovative thinkers for a week of new commissions and live discussions amplified by Aspen's environment.
What can I expect?
From July 27-31, 2026, AIR brings a full lineup of exhibitions, installations, performances, talks and readings, and social events to Aspen and venues around the Roaring Fork Valley.
How do I attend?
While the events are free and open to the public, registration is required.
Intersect Aspen Design + Art Fair
What is it?
The annual Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair brings galleries from around the world to Aspen for a multi-day exploration of modern and contemporary art and design. The Aspen Ice Garden provides an intimate, curated setting for patrons to view the works of talented artists in the heart of Aspen.
What can I expect?
From July 28 to August 1, 2026, the Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair will spark conversations and connect artists, collectors, and the audience through receptions, speakers, and happy hour gatherings. A series of events throughout the week will address a range of topics; stay tuned for the schedule!

The Aspen Art Fair
What is it?
The Aspen Art Fair brings artists, curators, gallerists, and collectors from around the globe to our mountain town. From July 29 to August 1, 2026, over 35 influential exhibitors and specially curated projects will display art from around the globe in the over 130 year old, historic Hotel Jerome.
What can I expect?
The Aspen Art Fair partners with exceptional local organizations to blend Aspen’s thriving arts and culture community with global talent. The multi-day fair complemented by programming that showcases the impressive collections of Aspen residents and features expert-led speakers, performances, site-responsive experiences, and more.
How do I attend?
Purchase a ticket. VIP Ticket: 4-day access including the Opening Preview and all fair days, Run of Show: 3-day ticket, or a Single Day Ticket.

The Aspen Art Walk, returning on August 28th, explores the local art scene through curated gallery tours, celebrating the creativity and artistic diversity displayed around town. During Aspen Art Walk, tour premier galleries as they present impressive collections of modern and contemporary art. The tour also features talks expert-led talks, giving attendees insight into the world of art.
On July 31, 2026, the Aspen Art Museum will host the 21st Art Crush gala, their largest annual fundraiser. The gala will honor artist Adrián Villar Rojas, the recipient of the 2026 Lewis Family Art Award, and feature a range of artworks donated by major international artists through a live action. The ArtCrush 2026 Auction Exhibition will be on display in mid-July, leading up to the Gala.
From August 8-10, 2026, Aspen Fashion Week brings together fashion leaders, designers, influencers, and enthusiasts for a celebration of creativity and innovation. Attend runway shows that showcase the latest collections, explore exclusive pop-ups, and enjoy curated workshops that inspire collaboration and creativity.
The City of Aspen’s Public Art Program commissions temporary artworks, maintains the City’s art collection, and offers grants to arts and culture nonprofits, connecting the community through art experiences. Check out the current projects including the Mall Fest 50 Art Parade and Block Party, an artist-led, community celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Aspen Pedestrian Mall filled with performances, costumes, and spirit; Art in Motion, a collaboration with WE-cycle that features the artwork of 5 locals on kiosks and pedal bikes; Shifting Light by Rachael Hayes, an installation on the Aspen Pedestrian Mall featuring ten hand-sewn panels that visitors can walk under, creating an immersive experience of color and light; In Bloom by Chris Erickson, a pavement mural designed to improve safety at a busy pedestrian crossing along the South Galena St. and East Cooper Ave. corridor.
Summer Series: Featured Artists and Conversations
Anderson Ranch Arts Center hosts captivating conversations with major artists, critics, and cultural leaders throughout the summer. Attend a conversation with Athena LaTocha and Valerie Cassel Oliver on July 23, Aliza Nisenbaum and Jane Panetta on July 27, or Las Nietas de Nonó and Erin Christovale on August 6.
