The iconic Snowmass Balloon Festival returns to Snowmass Village for its 48th year, September 22-24, 2023. The long-standing Rocky Mountain tradition features three days of 30+ festive balloons launching into the air from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. amidst the sunrise and the stunning background of Snowmass in the fall. [Please note: there is NO balloon glow in the evening this year]
The best place to view the Festival is at the launch field in Snowmass Town Park! This location allows spectators an up-close view as the pilots prepare and launch their balloons. ***Limited parking will be available at Town Park this year due to construction. Please plan on parking at the Intercept Lot and riding the free bus.***
After you’ve seen the balloons in all their beauty, stroll the Snowmass Mall or Base Village to enjoy breakfast or brunch.
