This all-day collaborative forum will focus on climate solutions and economic resilience in rural, resort and energy-transition communities in Colorado.
Western Colorado and the state as a whole have made significant clean energy and climate progress, but there is much more work to be done. How do we accelerate solutions and innovation, while creating greater economic opportunity and resilience for all? Energizing Climate Solutions will be an action-packed day filled with keynote speakers, expert panels and afternoon work sessions focusing on decarbonizing buildings and transportation, just energy transitions, geothermal and net-zero districts, sustainable funding sources and more.
Speakers will include Bill Ritter, Jr. (former Colorado Governor and founder of The Center for the New Energy Economy), KC Becker (Regional Administrator for U.S. EPA Region 8), Will Toor (Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office), Wade Buchanan (Director of Colorado Office of Just Transition) and State Rep. Elizabeth Velasco (House District 57).
