The 5th Annual Pristine Riders Fall Trash Crush community clean-up and environmental stewardship event is being held on Friday, September 13th from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM rain or shine meeting at North Star Nature Preserve’s South Gate parking lot. Walking or biking is encouraged. The event is hosted by Pristine Riders, a local 501c3 non-profit combining a passion for cycling and cleaning up the environment and Sun Dog Athletics “Aspen’s Adventure Sports School.” The volunteer litter clean-up along local roads and multi-use paths is an ideal way for locals who love our area to give back, while improving environmental health. Trash Crush boosts awareness of environmental stewardship, sharing this important message to inspire others, boosting the powerful multiplier effect. Partnering with CDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program, orange safety vests & trash bags will be provided. Annual event sponsors include Pitkin County Solid Waste Center, City of Aspen and Aspen Chamber Resort Association.
The first 15 volunteers to sign up at [email protected] will receive a complimentary volunteer lunch alfresco courtesy of lunch sponsor Silverpeak Grill and held at Koch Park.
