Join professional photographer Cath Adams over the holidays on a two-day journey as we jump back into the roots of photography with one of the most authentic ways to capture a photographic image, the Pinhole Camera! During this new two-day class, we will start from the ground up by exploring the components of the pinhole camera, learning how to load film, camera mechanics on how the pinhole works and capturing images of the beauty that surrounds Hallam Lake. We will then explore the modern world of digital photography and how the two compare. The skill of patience will be explored as the film needs to be sent away from processing and scans will be emailed at a later date!
Included in tuition (valued at $50):
2 rolls of 120 film
Processing and Scans

Bring your own digital camera with EMPTY memory card, FULL batteries, and card reader or cable. You'll get the most out this photo workshop by knowing how to use your photo equipment. So, pick up your camera and brush up on the photo basics prior to this workshop!
WHAT TO BRING: Wear appropriate winter clothing including snow pants and jacket, mittens and hat. Bring extra gloves and hat, bring lunch and water. Meet at ACES Field Study Center at 9:30am!
HOW TO GET THERE: Please walk, bike, bus, carpool, or ski to ACES sites whenever possible (yes, you really could cross-country ski to ACES when there is enough snow). Parking at all sites is extremely limited and alternate transportation is fun and saves the planet!
