In partnership with Aspen Film, The Little Nell invites you to a signature summer tradition — Cinema Under the Stars. The base of Aspen Mountain transforms into an intimate open-air cinema, complete with cozy seating, curated bites and beverages, and breathtaking views of the night sky. Opt to lounge in luxury with VIP service or relax picnic-style with complimentary General Admission.
This year’s featured film is FIELD OF DREAMS (1989), a beloved American sports fantasy drama starring Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones, and Burt Lancaster. Follow the moving story of a farmer who, after hearing a mysterious voice, builds a baseball diamond in his cornfield—only to be visited by the ghosts of baseball legends. This heartwarming tale about hope, redemption, and the power of dreams runs 1 hour and 47 minutes and is rated PG.

General Admission Seating is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of fold-up stadium chairs and beach blankets will be available to borrow. Guests may also bring their own chairs and blankets. House-made popcorn, a limited snack menu, and signature cocktails will be available for purchase. No reservations required.

Cinema Under the Stars: Dos and Don’ts
No Pets: For their safety and comfort, pets are not permitted. ADA-compliant service animals are welcome.
No Outside Food or Beverage: Onsite snacks, drinks, and cocktails will be available.
Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Valid ID is required for wristband access. Alcohol may not leave the venue.
Weather Policy: The event is weather dependent. If necessary, the back-up date is Tuesday, July 22. Cancellations or reschedules will be announced online.
Sunset Start: Guests should arrive 45 minutes before showtime, around sunset.
