Theatre Aspen Education invites the community to its 2nd–6th Grade Fall Musical, The Claw, a heartwarming and imaginative new children’s musical written by Denver Casado, Jessica Penzias, Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm, Christyn Budzyna, and Jack Mitchell, and directed by Alicia Millerson.
Performances will take place at the Aspen District Theatre at Aspen Elementary School on Friday, October 24 at 5:00 PM and Saturday, October 25 at 5:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/youth, available now at https://theatreaspen.org/the-claw/.
When an out-of-order claw machine suddenly turns back on, the toys inside spring to life! The Flair Bears, Mighty Mutant Power Turtles, and Beanie Elders are eager to be “chosen,” but for one toy—a shy stuffed cow named Dot—the unknown world beyond the glass is frightening. With help from her friends, Dot learns to face her fears and discover courage in unexpected places.
Director Alicia Millerson shares, “The Claw challenges us to search for hope, even when the future is unclear. Our students have brought this story to life with imagination, teamwork, and fearless creativity. We hope audiences leave inspired by their courage and joy.”
