The story of a kid who wanted to play baseball more than anything. When he was six, little league mascot Scott Christopher fell into a pile of glass behind home plate, severing the tendons, nerves, and arteries in his throwing arm. He overcame the injury (he was featured in Sports Illustrated at age twelve) to become a college baseball star and a Baltimore Oriole whose records for stolen base percentages still stand today.

His new book, *Baseball, Art and Dreams* tells his story and of how one can overcome monumental odds and live an extraordinary life.

He and baseball legend Cal Ripkin played on three teams together. In Ripken’s words, “[Scott is] one of the fastest guys I ever played with . . . Scott was always in tune with his experiences on the baseball field. He understood the joys of life beyond most of us. He was a free spirit.” Scott has been a full time professional artist since the 1980's creating art and promoting cultural exchanges in over 35 countries.
