Instigator of the Latin House movement with his hit “Morenita” – HUGEL is a multi- gold and platinum selling artist with over 1 billion streams to his name, and with many of his tracks reaching the number 1 spot on Beatport, his music is played in top venues and most credible events all over the world. He grew up in Marseille by the Mediterranean Sea (South of France). His Mom raised him with funk, disco and soul. He discovered the art of Dj’ing with vinyls at the age of 16 years old, influenced by the style of Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, Amine Edge and David Guetta. After few years learning production he became a Hit-Maker. His house music is inspired by Ibiza (Spain) and the Latin culture that he soaked up during his time living on the Island.
In 2023 he founded his own Recordlabel Make The Girls Dance, specialized in Afro- Latin- House and one year later the label became Top 3 bestselling Afrohouselabels on Beatport. HUGEL’s success continued into 2024 with the release of “I Adore You,” a collaboration with Topic, Arash, and featuring vocals from Daecolm. It entered the German singles chart and reached its peak position at number eight and was his first chartentry in the UK. “I Adore You” garnered significant attention even before its official release, with HUGEL previewing it during his sets at Tomorrowland and other venues. The song’s popularity extended to social media platforms, accumulating over 36 million views across Instagram and TikTok.
HUGEL’s continued success and innovation in the electronic dance music industry, particularly with his contributions to the Latin house and Afro house genres, have solidified his position as a leading figure in the global dance music scene. Selling out shows in America, Space (Miami), Superior ingredients (NYC), Academy (Los Angeles) HUGEL had residencies at Pacha & Ushuaia in Ibiza, and has played the biggest festivals in the world such as EDC Las Vegas, EDC Mexico, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Parookaville, World Club Dome, Mysteryland.
