Valley native, National Geographic photographer, filmmaker and author Pete McBride will explore the importance of our wild places for not just our wild friends, but our own mental health. Nature, natural sounds and silence can be vital to our wellbeing, and for many in our valley, the pathway to bridging the gap with our neighbors and community. Sharing tales from McBride’s acclaimed book Seeing Silence which combines two decades documenting remote regions around the world to our own most loved and litigated Colorado River, this evening will show us what nature has to offer — and say — if we allow ourselves to listen.
