Discover Aspen’s History

From a Ute Indian summer hunting camp, to a silver mining town, to a ski resort, Aspen’s rich history sets the foundation for it to become an international destination. Discover the varied history that has shaped Aspen and its character. Join the Aspen Historical Society for history hikes, coach tours, walking tours, or a briefly complete history of Aspen. Tours are available year round.

Mind, Body, Wellness

Join Aspen Shakti, an institute for the Mind, Body & Spirit and allow your group a chance to rejuvenate during their trip to Aspen. Grant group participants the ability to come alive through classes including yoga, meditation or mindful meeting techniques. From private classes to half or full day retreats your wellness concierge awaits.

Local Gems Food Tour

Join your personal host as they show you some of the great eateries in the Aspen area. These hidden gems are local’s favorites that most tourists never get to experience. We will visit a variety of locations based on the time frame for each group. Be sure to eat a light breakfast or none at all as you will be provided with more than you can eat and drink as you visit the different locations. The group will also learn about Aspen’s history and culture as they walk between stops. The approximate length of the tour is 3 - 4 hours. Tours are available year round.

Snowmobiling

Glide on snowmobiles along groomed trails between snowcapped trees and frozen crystal-blue waterfalls into the White River National Forest, to the base of the world-famous Maroon Bells or through a historic mining ghost town amid Colorado’s majestic high country. T-Lazy-7 guides you on geographically themed snowmobile tours varying in lengths and fit for all experience levels and group sizes. Warm up in the rustic Klondike cabin with hot cocoa, a grass-fed burger and a view of the 14,000-foot Pyramid Peak. Tours are available November - early April.

Scavenger Hunt through Aspen

Learn about the history of Aspen while competing in a scavenger hunt. Teams will have to complete a series of tasks and answer questions to navigate themselves around town. This event can be a race or based on a point system. Tasks may include: beer tasting, a gondola ride, black jack, visiting the John Denver Memorial, a wine and cheese tasting, exploring historic buildings, or chatting to locals. All events are customizable to your group and take approximately 3 hours to complete. Available from June - September.

Blazing the Trail

Pioneering the whitewater outfitter community in Colorado since 1973, year-round outdoor adventures galore await with Blazing Adventures. Whitewater rafting, kayaking, SUP paddle-boarding and jeeping lead you to iconic Colorado views. Go for a scenic float or charge the waves during a whitewater rafting excursion along the Roaring Fork River, or reach the top-of-the-world heights on a jeep tour through Aspen forests and alpine meadows. With over 100 trips to choose from, the local groups team is eager to assist in planning the perfect adventure, tailored specifically to your group. Tours are available May - September.

The Height of Adventure

The Lost Forest leaves all possibility of adventure up to your imagination. Zip through the trees 40 feet in the air with your group on the Canopy Run Zipline; get a grip and ascend a rugged climbing wall; drop 400-vertical-feet along turning track on the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster. Groups that have challenge-seekers are sure to leave with wondrous memories and achievements. Additionally, for those within your group that are seeking adventure at ground level, there are fishing ponds, hiking trails along creeks and disc golf courses, to name a few. Available from June - September.
