ACES Celebrates Membership at Annual Picnic on the Preserve

Aspen, Colorado, June 8, 2016 — Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) kicks off an exciting summer season on Monday, June 13th with its annual membership picnic at Hallam Lake. ACES, one of the area’s oldest non-profit organizations, is supported by its members to provide community programs and education in ecological literacy, forest health, sustainable agriculture, and more.

Members are invited to the family-friendly event to celebrate ACES 48th anniversary with a dinner featuring foods from ACES at Rock Bottom Ranch, libations including Aspen Brewing Company beers, and live music by the Ellie Barber Trio, headed by former ACES Naturalist Intern Ellie Barber!

This is a membership event, but the public is encouraged to attend by joining or renewing. Annual memberships begin at $50 for a family and includes significant benefits throughout the year. New members or existing members who refer a new member will receive a limited edition 2016 ACES hat.

ACES looks forward to a bustling summer, with programs and community events for all ages including many free offerings, from guided tours at many locations to lectures to field courses for all ages. Explore the complete summer calendar at aspennature.org/calendar.
