ANDERSON RANCH ARTS CENTER ANNOUNCES

2019 ‘SUMMER SERIES: FEATURED ARTISTS & CONVERSATIONS’ PARTICIPANTS

 

A highlight of Anderson Ranch’s summer season, the Summer Series hosts world-renowned artists and key figures in the art world who visit the Ranch to present and discuss their work with students, faculty, patrons and the public.

 

2019 Summer Series to Run July 3-August 15

 

 

 

Aspen/Snowmass, CO (May 14, 2019) — Anderson Ranch Arts Center, a premier art-making destination and a catalyst for critical dialog in the contemporary art world, announces this year’s Summer Series: Featured Artists & Conversations with acclaimed artists Sanford Biggers, Paul McCarthy, Taryn Simon, collector and curatorBeth Rudin DeWoody, Elliott Hundley and Lari Pittman. The series will present these artists in conversation with top art world professionals from across the country including Helen Molesworth, Kate Fowle and Maynard Monrow. The Summer Series will also feature Extraordinary Leadership Award Honoree Doug Casebeer in conversation with Brad Miller and Service to the Arts Award Honoree Sarah Arison in conversation with Anne Pasternak.

The annual series features some of the most influential artists of our time, explores the work of world-renowned creators and curators, and hosts conversations with today’s most significant critics and collectors in both lecture and Q&A formats. Past artist participants have included Ai Weiwei (2018), Doug Aitken (2017), The Haas Brothers (2016), Frank Stella (2015), Theaster Gates (2014) and Marina Abramović (2013).

 

The Summer Series is supported by Toby Devan Lewis, Oolite Arts and the Ranch’s National Council sponsors. It is part of a full slate of creative public programming at Anderson Ranch throughout the year. Registration information can be found at www.andersonranch.org.
