Anderson Ranch Arts Center Presents a NEW FORMAT for the Annual Holiday Open House & Fundraising Dinner

Aspen/Snowmass, CO (November 29, 2023) — Anderson Ranch Arts Center, a premiere destination for art making and critical dialogue in contemporary arts, is thrilled to welcome the community to campus for the annual Holiday Open House on December 19th. New this year will be a holiday market-style event with original artwork for sale in each studio made by Anderson Ranch staff as well as many notable artists. A new gallery exhibition curated by K Rhynus Cesark will also be on display in the Patton-Malott Gallery.

The Open House is free to attend and will take place from 4:30-6:30PM. The public can tour the studios to view and purchase work created by the following featured artists. Select images of their work can be found here.

  • Deborah Adams-Welles
  • Betsy Alwin
  • Andrew Betancourt
  • Liz Ferrill
  • Savanna LaBauve
  • Joanne Lee
  • Alleghany Meadows
  • Dugald MacInnes
  • Esther Nooner
  • Jay Phillips
  • Brian Shure
  • Harry Teague
  • Adam Ting
  • Hank Weaver
  • Andrea Jenkins Wallace
  • Lindsey Yeager

In addition, the ArtWorks Store will be filled with stocking stuffers and gifts at a variety of price points and complementary holiday gift wrapping will be offered for all purchases. This family-friendly evening will include crafts for all ages in the Children’s Building as well as a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy lots of holiday treats offered throughout campus.

Slated to open during the annual Holiday Open House, the Represented Exhibition in the Patton-Malott Gallery features the work of artists Joseph Gamble, Nicole Nagel-Gogolak, Lauren Mayer, Suzannah Reid, and Natasha Seedorf.

“In this show, you will encounter introspective works that are striking and confident,” shares K Rhynus Cesark, the show’s curator. “They provoke thought and stimulate conversation about artistic process, and the boundary between craft and narrative. It is my hope that the exhibition not only honors the individuality of each artist but inspires the viewer to appreciate the diversity and wealth of talent that we have in our region and the importance of being “represented” in this community.”

Directly following the Open House, the community is invited to purchase tickets to attend a Fundraising Dinner and Live Auction filled with Anderson Ranch experiences exclusively designed for the event. Absentee bidding will be available; check the Anderson Ranch website for details. Tickets are $175 each and include dinner, dessert, wine, and complimentary child care for ages 5-12. Proceeds will go directly to support Anderson Ranch artistic programming.

Event registration for the free Holiday Open House is appreciated and is available along with tickets for purchase to the Fundraising Dinner on the Anderson Ranch website: https://www.andersonranch.org/events/holiday-open-house-3/
