Aspen, Colo. (February 16, 2016) - Aspen Film announced today its auction items for bidders and three grand prizes for its top players at the upcoming Casino Royale Gala on Saturday, February 20 at the Hotel Jerome.
In partnership with Charity Buzz, Aspen Film's exciting silent auction items are now available for online bidding before the big night or from afar including: lunch with Academy-Nominated Film Director, Writer and Producer Alexander Payne; (2) VIP tickets and 'Meet & Greet' with either Lionel Richie, Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears at the AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas; (3) nights for (2) at The Vines Resort & Spa in the Mendoza Wine Region or Argentina; and lunch with Wyle/Katz Productions' Noah Wyle and Jim Katz in Hollywood. Aspen Film's live auction items will feature more exclusive experiences including a (3) night trip for (2) to the internationally acclaimed Cannes Film Festival with airfare and premiere and party tickets. The winning bidder may elect for a (5) night stay at The Fairmont Monte Carlo, should they be unavailable to attend Cannes during its run from May 11-22, 2016.
In addition to the silent and live auctions, all Casino Royale attendees will each be given $250 in gaming chips to try their luck at blackjack, poker and craps. The ten players with the highest earnings at the end of the evening will be entered into a drawing with a chance of winning one of the following:
- (4) days & (3) nights for (2) at the Andaz Napa with airfare, including dinner at the Culinary Institute of America, lunch at Long Meadow Ranch and a tour of Frog's Leap Winery
- A $10,000 white gold and diamond Buccellati necklace
- (2) VIP passes to all of Aspen Film’s signature film festivals for one year
Attendees may acquire additional chips by making tax deductible contributions to Aspen Film throughout the evening. All proceeds go to support Aspen Films three signature festivals (Aspen Filmfest, Academy Screenings, the Oscar®–qualifying Aspen Shortsfest) and the organization's free education programs, which last year served over 3,500 student and teachers throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
"We are thrilled to celebrate Aspen Film's history with this new signature fundraising event," says Aspen Film executive director John Thew. "With so many exciting auction items, our year-round programs are sure to benefit and continue to grow."
Individual tickets are still available for $325 of which $235 is tax-deductible for Casino Royale, which celebrates 37 years of the Roaring Fork Valley's most active film arts organization and will feature an evening of cocktails, gaming, auctions, dinner, entertainment and dancing in support of its year-round programs.
