Jazz Aspen Snowmass Celebrates 30 Years
with a Virtual “House Party” This Saturday
Jazz Aspen Snowmass planned to celebrate its 30th Season in 2020, but in the year of a pandemic, no celebration was to be had. With in-person gatherings still limited the organization has created a new virtual Anniversary Celebration scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 20 at 6pm via Zoom. The JAS “House Party” will be an exciting new virtual experience complete with music, food, drinks and fun! The event will include performances from local students and many Artists who have appeared at JAS’ June Experience & JAS Café series through the years and are scheduled to return to JAS in summer of 2021.
Aspen’s newest luxury property, the Aspen Street Lodge, has generously opened up their doors to host the event. Attendees will enjoy catchng the amazing views of Aspen Mountain from their rooftop deck, cooking along with Chefs in their penthouse kitchen and mixing things up in the game room bar.
Attendees of the House Party will be able to customize their experience by moving from room to room, or in Zoom terms “break-out groups”, for a variety of activities. In the Kitchen will be cooking demos including appetizers by Denver based Chef Bijou Thomas and dessert from Pastry Chef Stephanie Maratia. In the Wine Cellar guests can join a DAOU Family Vineyards sommelier for a tasting of three of their most exclusive wines. At the Bar Woody Creek Distillers will offer a mixology experience and in the Game Room JAS trivia and other fun can be found.
Comedian Adam Cayton-Holland will be the emcee for the night leading the festivities from the Living Room. Cayton-Holland is a national touring comic who has appeared on CONAN, Comedy Central Presents, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and more. He has been named one of Esquire magazine’s “25 Comics to Watch” and one of “10 Comics to Watch” by Variety.
Multiple ticket options are available for the event including the VIP Experience which includes home delivery of the prepped ingredients for the food demos provided by Clark’s Market, a Woody Creek Distillers “Passion Project” cocktail kit for the mixology session and a two aprons for the cooks in the kitchen. A basic House Party Ticket at $50 includes access to the event with the option to add-on the food or cocktail kit.
Special guest appearances will include testimonials and performances from some of JAS’ favorite artists of years past. Dianne Reeves, Christian McBride, Take 6, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Monty Alexander, the Delvon LaMarr Trio, JAS Academy students and JAS local In-Schools students will all be showcased throughout the evening.
The night will close-out with a full-blown dance party inviting all attendees to show off their moves to a fun mix of JAS’ favorites. Attendees will vote on the best dancers with the winner receiving two VIP tickets to the upcoming JAS Labor Day Experience.
All proceeds from the evening, as well as proceeds from a silent auction open now for bidding, will benefit JAS Music Education Programming. The Silent Auction is offering a variety of unique items for purchase, from private concerts and events, hotel stays, health and fitness passes and more.
