Aspen’s Historic Opera House also Announces a Two-Performance Engagement by Comedian Jim Gaffigan
Aspen, CO (October 10, 2018): A legendary stand-up comedian, a trio of headliners, one of Rolling Stone’s best comics of all time, and more are all included in the line-up of performers for the 2019 Aspen Laugh Festival, running February 20-23, 2018. Expect to laugh the week away with Nate Bargatze, Kathleen Madigan, Tig Notaro, Jo Koy, and more. Festival passes (Headliner Passes and Pick 3 Passes) go on sale Thursday, October 11 at the Wheeler Opera House Box Office (970.920.5770/ aspenshowtix.com). Single tickets will go on sale January 4. The Wheeler Opera House is located at 320 E. Hyman Ave., Aspen, CO.
We’re also proud to announce Aspen Laugh Festival presents Jim Gaffigan just a few days before Aspen Laugh Festival begins on February 15th! Jim Gaffigan is a Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling father of five. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor which largely revolves around fatherhood and his observations on life.
Aspen Laugh Festival-goers have the option of purchasing a Full Festival Pass for $225, which includes admission to all performances (select one Jo Koy performance) - a Full Festival pass offers a savings of over 30%! A Pick 3 Pass is also available, which includes 3 shows and a savings of over 20%.

Nate Bargatze

Hailing from Old Hickory, Tennessee, rising stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze is selling out shows across America. Nate followed in the showbiz footsteps of his dad, a former clown turned world class magician, whose influence is seen on Nate’s 2015 debut specialFull Time Magic and his debut album Yelled at By a Clown. Nate’s half-hour Netflix SpecialThe Standups premiered on July 4th, 2017 to rave reviews. In addition to touring the country as a headliner, Nate toured in arenas with Chris Rock on his 2017 Total Blackout Tour. He currently has a deal with 20th Century Fox to develop his own TV show.
Nate’s comedy is both clean and relatable, evident in his six appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon six times, following four appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He regularly performs at Bonnaroo, SXSW, Oddball Comedy Festival, Sasquatch, Clusterfest, and the JFL Montreal Comedy Festival, where he’s received critical acclaim multiple years in a row.

For 28 years, comedian Kathleen Madigan has been touring 250 nights on the road and squeezing in hour-long filmed specials and performances on every late-night show ever made. From 25 appearances on The Tonight Show and multiple appearances on Letterman and Conan to recently riding around with Jerry Seinfeld in his internet seriesComedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Madigan is still having a blast and selling out theaters across the country.
She's described as the funniest woman doing stand-up right now, but no gender qualifier is necessary. Along with Lewis Black, Brian Regan and Jim Gaffigan, she's one of the funniest stand-up comedians of her generation.

Rachel Feinstein
Rachel is a nationally touring comedian and actress. She has had three Comedy Central specials, including the most recent Amy Schumer Presents Rachel Feinstein: Only Whores Wear Purple. Rachel recently recurred on the Steven Soderbergh Amazon series Red Oaks and on Judd Apatow's HBO comedy Crashing. She also guest starred on Bravo’s Odd Mom Out. Her past credits include Trainwreck, Top Five, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, co-hosting The View on multiple occasions and several appearances on Inside Amy Schumer. You may also remember Rachel co-hosting alongside Shaq on Upload with Shaquille O’Neal. Feinstein has also lent her voice to Adult Swim's Venture Brothers and the phenomenally successful Grand Theft Auto video game franchise. Her latest special premiered on March 20, 2018 as part of Netflix’s half hour series The Standups.

Julian McCullough has toured the country so much that he's earned Diamond Medallion Status on Delta Airlines. His next stop? Aspen! Julian has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, and NPR’s This American Life, Inside Amy Schumer and TruTV’s Comedy Knockout. Julian was a fan-favorite at the 2018 Sunset Sessions series, and we are thrilled to have him return to the Wheeler, this time to the main stage!
Tig Notaro

Tig Notaro is a groundbreaking stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director originally from Mississippi. Hailed for her effortless storytelling and fearless stage presence, her subject matter ranges from the delightfully absurd to the monumentally serious. Rolling Stone recently named Tig “one of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time.”
Tig is also a Grammy Award nominee, Emmy Award nominee, GLAAD Award nominee and New York Times Bestselling author. She is a favorite on numerous talk shows, including Ellen, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Conan. She is also a frequent public radio contributor. Tig continues to tour internationally, selling out Carnegie Hall in 2016. In her time off, Tig enjoys bird-watching with Stephanie, their twin sons, and cat, Fluff, at home in Los Angeles.
Jo Koy

Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings at a Las Vegas coffee house. He sells out venues across the nation, is a weekly guest on The Adam Carolla Show podcast and recently started his own podcast, The Koy Pond with Jo Koy. His infectious, explosive energy onstage, insightful jokes, and family‐inspired humor cross all boundaries.
Jo Koy pulls inspiration from his family and specifically his son. He has had two Comedy Central specials Don’t Make Him Angry and Lights Out. Jo has appeared on over 100 episodes of Chelsea Lately and has been seen on VH1, World's Funniest Fails, The Joy Behar Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly and Jamie Foxx: Laffapalooza.
