Mid-Season Updates from Aspen Snowmass
The second half of the season brings Extended Lift Hours, the Return of Buttermilk Breakfast Club, Ullr Night’s, Sunset Skiing, and a New 75 Skier-Day Pin to celebrate the 75th season of skiing.

ASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo.— Feb. 3, 2022— As we reach the official mid-point of the season on Friday Feb. 4, Aspen Snowmass has the following updates.
Extended Lift Operations
With daylight hours lasting longer, select lifts at all four of Aspen Snowmass’ mountains will remain open until 4:00 or 4:15 p.m. beginning Feb. 12 through the remainder of the season.
Aspen Mountain will run the Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Express and the F.I.S. lift until 4:00 p.m. with the last ride down on the Silver Queen Gondola at 4:30 p.m.
At Snowmass, the Elk Camp Gondola and the Big Burn lift will operate until 4:00 p.m. The Village Express will run until 4:00 p.m. to the top and until 4:15 p.m. to the mid-station.
At Aspen Highlands, Loge and Exhibition lifts will operate until 4:00 p.m.
The Summit Express lift at Buttermilk will run until 4:00 p.m. All other lifts at all four mountains will close at 3:30 p.m.
Friday Morning Breakfast Club at Buttermilk
Friday morning uphill Breakfast Club, presented by SmartWater and the City of Aspen, returned to Buttermilk Mountain starting Feb. 4 and will continue on Fridays through Apr. 1. Hosted at the Cliffhouse restaurant, located at the top of Buttermilk Mountain, uphill skiers and hikers can enjoy a selection of breakfast items like oatmeal and yogurt station or choose between a signature Cliffhouse breakfast of fried rice with a farm egg or thick-cut French toast with crisp bacon, which are available to purchase from 8:45 -10:00 a.m. A reminder to uphillers that uphill pass and strap are required.
Ullr Nights Dates Announced
To honor of the Norse God of Snow, Ullr, Elk Camp at Snowmass will host Ullr Nights on Feb. 18 and Feb. 25. From 5:00-7:30 p.m. guests are invited to participate in outdoor winter activities such as tubing, riding the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, and a bonfire at the top of the Elk Camp gondola. A la carte food items will be available to purchase. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
Sunset Skiing
As the days get longer, enjoy extended skiing and riding on select dates this season. Kicking-off at Buttermilk Mountain on Mar. 14, the Summit Express lift will run with extended hours until 6:00 p.m. Both the Cliffhouse and Bumps restaurants will be open with limited food and beverage service.
Aspen Snowmass Offering Free Daily NASTAR Racing All Season Long
Aspen Snowmass will continue to offer free NASTAR racing to the public on its courses for the remainder of the season. Public NASTAR courses are available on either Snowmass or Aspen Mountain. The Aspen Mountain NASTAR course is open daily from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and the Snowmass NASTAR course is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
75th Anniversary Pins
Aspen Snowmass continues its 75th anniversary celebration by giving a commemorative pin to guests of the resort that have reached 75 scans during the season, starting Feb. 7, which marks the 75th day of the 21-2022 season. Pins for guests will be distributed at the scan gates at both the base of the Silver Queen gondola in Aspen, and the base of the Elk Camp gondola in Snowmass. All Aspen Snowmass employees will also receive a celebratory pin to mark the occasion.
