ACRA Announces New Dates for Wintersköl™ 

The signature event will return for 74th Edition Dec. 13-15, 2024
 

ASPEN, Colo. (April 17, 2024) – Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) today announces new dates for the 74th edition of Wintersköl. Community survey results indicated a strong preference for the event to take place earlier in the winter during a quieter time. Wintersköl will now take place Dec. 13-15, 2024. Programming will include old favorites as well as new offerings that will entice locals and visitors alike.

“With the ski season coming to an end, we look forward to welcoming the Aspen community to kick off winter with us during Wintersköl next December,” said Julie Hardman, Senior Events Director for ACRA. “We are excited to bring back local favorites, including Soupsköl and the torchlight parade and fireworks over Aspen Mountain. Attendees can also look forward to new and reimagined events during next season’s Wintersköl. We’re confident that the change in dates will help garner local participation and welcome new community members to our mountain lifestyle.”

Wintersköl, Aspen’s annual “toast to winter” dates back to January 1951 when locals chose to commemorate Aspen's distinctive mountain way of life with a diverse weekend of events.  

The three-day 2024 event will continue to showcase on-mountain activities, snow sculptures, a soup contest, and torchlight parade and fireworks on Aspen Mountain. The slogan contest will return in early fall 2024. For more information, please visit aspenchamber.org.
