Aspen alumna and cultural ambassador Sarah Chang returns for a complete performance of Vivaldi’s cherished set of four violin concerti, The Four Seasons. Enjoy a rare opportunity to hear this award-winning artist up close in the 500-seat Harris Concert Hall. Vivaldi published the collection with four poems which illuminate the aspects of each season he intended to evoke. He was meticulous in relating the music to the texts, even down to a barking dog in the viola part of Spring.

Also enjoy, keyboard virtuosity as Iranian-American Mahan Esfahani takes on two Bach concertos. Esfahani created quite a stir last year in Cologne playing a composer-sanctioned harpsichord version of Steve Reich’s Piano Phase. It’s not every day that a recital leads to a riot!
