Called America’s “power couple of chamber music” by the Wall Street Journal, David Finckel and Wu Han return to Aspen for early works of Beethoven and Brahms. They’ll be joined by Arnaud Sussman, whose elegant playing and silky tone thrilled last summer’s Aspen audience, and violist Paul Neubauer, who was the youngest section leader in the New York Philharmonic’s history before he left to pursue a solo and chamber music career. Program:
BEETHOVEN: String Trio in G major, op. 9, no. 1
BEETHOVEN: Piano Trio in G major, op. 1, no. 2
—
BRAHMS: Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, op. 25
