Why do we love who we love? Is monogamy natural? What does it mean to have “chemistry” with someone? Based on data collected from thousands of Americans and groundbreaking brain research on lust, romantic love, and attachment, biological anthropologist and author Helen Fisher will talk about the neuroscience of happiness in long-term relationships, how our biology and personality guides who we love, trends in modern courtship, why she’s optimistic about relationships in the digital age, and how to use brain chemistry to keep love alive.
Fee: $25. Tickets on sale Tuesday, July 2 at www.aspenshowtix.com, or in person at the Wheeler Opera House box office.
