Samyak Shertok, is originally from Nepal, his poems appear or are forthcoming in Blackbird, The Cincinnati Review, Waxwing, West Branch, and elsewhere. A recipient of fellowships from Aspen Words, the Virginia G. Piper Center, and the Vermont Studio Center and scholarships from the Tebot Bach Foundation and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, he recently performed his poetry at TEDxUniveristyOfMississippi. In 2014-2015, he worked as a Visiting Poet at the Mayo Clinic writing poems for the palliative-unit patients as lyric medicine. Originally from Nepal, Samyak lives and writes in Salt Lake City.
