Join Explore Books for an evening celebrating Four Seasons in Snowmass, a new photo book that showcases nature, place, and the subtle beauty found in every season. Photographer Tamara Šuša will share her inspiration for the book along with a behind-the-scences peek into some of the photos. For more than a decade, she has embraced the first snow dusting the peaks, wildflowers blooming in alpine meadows, and snow-covered trails that reveal the quiet beauty of winter, capturing the spirit of Snowmass through the lens of her camera.
Tamara Šuša is a photographer and documentary filmmaker originally from Belgrade, Serbia, who has been based in Snowmass Village, Colorado since 2012.
She holds a Master’s degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of Arts London, and her photographs have been published in various magazines, including Backcountry, Freeskier, Outside, Forbes, Wall Street Journal. Her films have screened at BANFF Mountain Film Festival, 5 Point Film Festival, and many more.
Her work has taken her around the globe, spanning many locations from the Arctic to Antarctica, and she still finds herself fortunate to call the Maroon Bells - Snowmass wilderness her backyard. In addition to her visual work, Tamara is actively engaged in conservation efforts, using storytelling as a tool to promote the protection and preservation of the environments she photographs.
In 2025, Tamara was voted as Aspen & Snowmass’s Best Local Photographer in The Aspen Times “Best Of” awards. Read more about Tamara here.
