How to Make Your Maroon Bells Wedding Reservation
Getting to the Maroon Bells
Vehicle traffic is restricted on Maroon Creek Road past the Maroon Bells Welcome Station. Individuals who reserve the Maroon Bells Amphitheater are issued five vehicle passes which allow travel in a motorized vehicle past this point. Passes will be available for pickup at the welcome station five days prior to your event. It will be your responsibility to distribute passes and coordinate transportation with your guests.
Other options for access to the Maroon Bells Amphitheater include parking at Aspen Highlands Ski Area. The Maroon Bells shuttle bus is $16.00 per adult and $10.00 for seniors 65 or older and children under 12. Reservations are required to reserve a space on the shuttle. Operating hours for the shuttle bus are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Dogs are permitted on the Maroon Bells Shuttle.

Where to Host Your Wedding Reception After a Maroon Bells Ceremony
Receptions cannot be held at the amphitheater, but they may be held at the nearby East Maroon Portal Picnic site. The East Maroon Portal Picnic site is a reservable, small, developed area situated along Maroon Creek and can accommodate up to 75 people for the morning, the afternoon, or both. All food, beverages, and scented items must be properly stored until the time of the reception. A bear-proof food locker is available to store these items while not being attended.

Personal vehicle access to the Maroon Bells is restricted; those without a vehicle day pass should make shuttle bus or parking reservations.
Your Maroon Bells Amphitheater reservation includes five vehicle passes to the Maroon Bells Scenic Area. Guests that cannot be accommodated with the included vehicle passes will have to either purchase a vehicle pass or reserve a seat on the shuttle bus well ahead of time at Aspenchamber.org. Operating hours for the shuttle bus are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Dogs are permitted on the Maroon Bells Shuttle.
Reservations open one year in advance on a rolling basis.
Due to the busy location, the Amphitheater is not reservable on Fridays and Saturdays in June, July or August; and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September.
Check in at Welcome Station to confirm your reservation for the Amphitheater and pick up your parking passes.
Decorations are allowed within the amphitheater, however the following are prohibited from use:
- Arches (or large structures)
- Items that are thrown or animals released (doves, flower petals, rice, confetti, etc.)
- Collection of items from the surrounding area
- PA systems (or loud music)
- Hanging lights from trees
- Floating Lanterns or Fireworks
- Aluminum cans dragging from vehicles
All decorations must be removed upon leaving the amphitheater.
This area provides access to the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness area. Camping overnight in some areas of this wilderness requires a permit . You must also have proper bear-proof food storage and a plan for human waste in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness.
