ASPEN CHAMBER RESORT ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES ASPEN FIELD NOTES
ASPEN, Colo (July 15, 2021) — The Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) announces the launch of an Aspen edition of Field Notes which feature local artists and will be available for purchase at a selection of local retailers. A portion of each purchase of the Aspen Field Notes will benefit Pledge for the Wild.
The Aspen edition of Field Notes features three Aspen-area artists: Emily Chaplin, Margie McLain, and Tammie Lane who each submitted their designs to ACRA. The Field Notes will be available at ACES/Hallam Lake, the Ute Mountaineer, The Store at the Aspen Art Museum, Kemo Sabe, O2 Aspen, and Pitkin County Dry Goods. Retail prices start at $12.95 and at least 5% of proceeds will be donated to Pledge for the Wild. The Pledge for the Wild 2021 beneficiary is the Independence Pass Foundation. The mission of the Independence Pass Foundation is to restore and protect the ecological, historical, and aesthetic integrity of the Independence Pass corridor and to encourage stewardship, safety, and appreciation of the Pass.
“As one of our destination management strategies ACRA has been focused on educating the public on how to recreate responsibly,” said ACRA Vice President of Marketing Eliza Voss. The Field Notes collaboration takes this one step further by creating an avenue to give back and protect these wild places.”
A similar partnership exists with the National Parks Edition of Field Notes donating 5% of proceeds back into the National Park system. This project is an effort from ACRA to raise funds and awareness for our partnership with Pledge for the Wild. ACRA is focused on sustainable tourism, and with the increased impact and use on Aspen’s natural places, this is just one way we are encouraging visitors and our community to be mindful when using the trails. Pledge for the Wild empowers visitors and locals to give back financially, in order to preserve our wild places, and make sure they are around for many years to come.
