Aspen Mountain Loyalist

You are fiercely loyal to the mothership mountain, and want to take advantage of all our namesake hill has to offer.

8 am

Join the staff of Aspen Skiing Company for the first run of the day with First Tracks, offered to those in private lessons, guided experiences with the Ski & Snowboard Schools, and those staying in one of the Aspen Skiing Company lodging properties. You will either get to enjoy freshly groomed corduroy or if you’re really lucky, powder.

9 am

Continue the morning on Aspen Mountain, riding the “bucket” (a local's name for the Silver Queen Gondola), and exploring the variety of blue & black runs. Keep your eye out for the famed shrines around the mountain. Often found in the trees on various trails, these shrines pay homage to everything from Marilyn Monroe to the Yankee Stadium. Please note: Aspen Mountain does not have any beginner/green circle runs.

10 am

Breakfast at Bonnie’s! This longtime eatery located mid-mountain at the base of North American or Tourtelotte Park is an institution. Known for their homemade bread and an array of desserts (which you choose first!), most famously their Apple Strudel, this is definitely food for your soul.

1 pm

Take a break at the Sundeck on the top of Aspen Mountain. This cafeteria style restaurant is a great place to refuel, warm by the fire, and enjoy the views Aspen Highlands and Castle Creek Valley. If your friends or family don't ski, they can take purchase a foot pass for the gondola to meet you at the Sundeck.

3 pm

(Or whenever your legs give-out)

Aspen is known for its après ski scene. Pop bottles of champagne while dancing to DJs and live music. Warm by fireplaces with a glass of fine wine. People watch in the sunshine filled afternoons of March and April from the deck at Ajax Tavern. Cheers!
