Discover Aspen's rich past at Aspen Historical Society's Wheeler/Stallard Museum and Holden/Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum. Take an architectural tour through the West End neighborhood, tour the historical Wheeler Opera House or the landmark Hotel Jerome.

Check out the Aspen Institute or Aspen Words programming and see what is available for an afternoon of mental stimulation. If you attend any programming at the Aspen Institute, don’t miss dinner at Plato’s Kitchen; it’s rumored to have the best summer sunset views.

Enjoy an intimate performance with Theatre Aspen at The Hurst Theatre next to Rio Grande Park. Arrive early to walk around the John Denver Sanctuary and Song Garden, a beautiful oasis steps from downtown Aspen.

JAS Aspen Snowmass creates an intimate jazz cafe at venues around town with performances from some of the greatest jazz artists from around the world. This is the best ending to your culture rich day.
