Developing a short-term rental permit process in Snowmass Village is an idea that elected officials and staff said they could get behind during ongoing talks about vacation rentals at a Feb. 7 Town Council meeting.
The Aspen Music Festival and School’s 2022 summer season marks a return of a nearly full concert and training program, following two years of virtual and pandemic-shrunken festivals.
The season, running June 30 to Aug. 21, will include three weekly performances by the festival’s orchestras, as many as 400 total public events and the return of indoor recitals to Harris Concert Hall, opera events at the Wheeler Opera House and other indoor venues.
The second half of the season brings Extended Lift Hours, the Return of Buttermilk Breakfast Club, Ullr Night’s, Sunset Skiing, and a New 75 Skier-Day Pin to celebrate the 75th season of skiing.
Although the Pitkin Board of County Commissioners has discussed possibly regulating short-term rentals for months, it was not until recently that it received a “deluge” of feedback about the idea.
