The city of Aspen is seeking community participation to shape the future of residential building and short-term rental activity in town as it continues with a six-month moratorium on residential development and a nine-month pause of permits for vacation rentals.

Atlantic Aviation's Carbon Offset Program at Aspen FBO
On Decemer 16, 2021 Atlantic Aviation, operator of the Aspen fixed base operation (FBO), announced the launch of a new Carbon Offset Initiative in which every gallon of jet fuel for commercial and private aviation at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) will be offset to be carbon neutral through verified carbon credits purchased by Atlantic Aviation. The offset program was effective December 1, 2021 and will be embedded in all future aviation fuel sales, both jet and avgas, at ASE.

Aspen Music Festival to stage full 2022 summer season

The Aspen Music Festival and School’s 2022 summer season marks a return of a nearly full concert and training program, following two years of virtual and pandemic-shrunken festivals.
The season, running June 30 to Aug. 21, will include three weekly performances by the festival’s orchestras, as many as 400 total public events and the return of indoor recitals to Harris Concert Hall, opera events at the Wheeler Opera House and other indoor venues.
