Spring: Rain or Shine

Rain or shine, spring in Aspen has its highlights. Whether you're looking for relaxation or action-packed days, fewer crowds and a variety of activities make spring an ideal time to experience Aspen. Here’s a weather-proof guide to enjoying this spring:

Sunny Day in Spring

8 am

Grab a juice or smoothie over at JÜS Café, one of the many popular local eateries.

9 am -11 am

Enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature during a morning bike ride around Aspen. Rent a bike and cruise through the west end neighborhood or along the Rio Grande trail where you’ll ride among blooming crab apple trees and endless greenery.

11:30 am

Grab brunch at the Bear Den, a cozy bistro serving classics and offering an extensive selection of coffee.

1 pm

Schedule a tee time at Aspen Golf Club’s award-winning course. With unbeatable views, Aspen Golf Club offers early season rates. Want to practice your short game? CP Burger offers mini-golf.

3 pm

Learn how to fly fish on Colorado’s largest stretch of Gold Medal Waters. Head out with Aspen Outfitting Company where they’ll customize an unforgettable trip for your group.

5 pm

Grab an early dinner outside at Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop, known for its thai coconut soup and rotisserie chicken board.

7 pm

Head over to Paradise Bakery for dessert where you can choose from a variety of baked goods and ice cream flavors. Relax on their outdoor seating and watch the sun set over town.

8 pm

Join the locals at Aspen Public House, located in the historic Wheeler Opera House, for a lively, late-night bar scene.

Rainy Day in the Spring

8 am

On a chilly, rainy morning, nothing beats a hot cup of coffee! Relax at Unravel Coffee, a local's favorite with an impressive selection of beverages and bites.

10 am -12 pm

Venture over to the Airport Business Center where you can grab a hearty brunch at the delicious Mawa’s Kitchen. Afterward, go visit all the lovable pets at Aspen Animal Shelter- you can even take one with you for the day or forever!

1 pm

Check out the latest exhibits at the Aspen Art Museum followed by a quick pastry or coffee at the delicious The Swedish Hill, located on the rooftop of the museum with a view of Aspen Mountain.

3 pm

Shop all the discounts happening around town. You’ll ramp up your wardrobe, while taking it easy on your pocketbook by scoring spring season deals.

4 pm

Wind down your afternoon by indulging in yoga & pilates classes and spa treatments at O2 Aspen.

7:30 pm

Spend the rest of your night dining at one of our tasty local restaurants and attend live music at Belly Up.
