Aspen, Colorado offers some of the most breathtaking wedding venues in the country. I cannot wait to capture more weddings and events at some of these top venues in the area. Whether you are looking for a luxury hotel, a modern setting, or a historic venue, Aspen has something for every couple’s unique vision.
For couples who are looking for nothing but the best of the best, The Little Nell, St. Regis Aspen, Hotel Jerome, and W Aspen are hands down the top hotel wedding venues in Aspen, Colorado.
The Little Nell
The Little Nell is the epitome of luxury, The Wedding Deck offers breathtaking views of Aspen Mountain. As Aspen’s only five-star, five-diamond hotel, it’s the most exclusive accommodations in town. Ride the gondola to your wedding at the top of the mountain. As a photographer, I absolutely love shooting at the Aspen Mountain Club, which offers a stunning and intimate setting for a mountain wedding. The wedding deck is my personal favorite, offering an absolutely jaw-dropping backdrop for your special day.
The Little Nell staff are incredibly attentive and will go above and beyond to ensure your wedding is a dream come true. Having the reception in the Sundeck is a spectacular space for your large reception, accommodating up to 250 guests for a seated dinner and up to 500 for the reception. Pop into Element 47 for a delicious meal, The Wine Bar during ski season, and Ajax Tarven for Après-ski.
St. Regis Aspen
If you’re looking for a grand ballroom, the St. Regis Aspen is where it’s at. The Astor Ballroom is one of the most magnificent ballrooms in town. The Fountain Courtyard offers the perfect spot for a ceremony or cocktail reception, offering beautiful views of Aspen Mountain, right behind your ceremony. With a capacity of up to 450 guests, this venue is perfect for larger weddings. The St. Regis Aspen staff are second to none and will ensure that every detail of your wedding is absolutely perfect. Definitely take a peak at the Snow Lodge and the Blue Room.
Hotel Jerome
Hotel Jerome is one of the most historic and elegant venues in Aspen. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want to add a touch of old-world glamour to their wedding. The Grand Ballroom is absolutely stunning, and the only above-ground ballroom in Aspen with beautifully large windows. The Courtyard is perfect for a more intimate ceremony or cocktail reception. The staff at Hotel Jerome is all about the details, and they will make sure that every aspect of your wedding is nothing short of perfect. The J Bar is a great bar, Bad Harriet is a cool speakeasy, and Felix Coffee are all great spots to enjoy a drink, whether boozy or energizing. Hotel Jerome’s restaurant is the Prospect and has very neat, old-American vibes.
W Aspen
Finally, for couples who are after a more modern vibe, The W Aspen is a must-see. With a rooftop Sky Residences that offers stunning views of the mountains. This venue is perfect for couples who want to have a cool and contemporary wedding, welcome party, or brunch. The Wet Deck, the rooftop pool, is one of my favorite spots for a cocktail reception. The staff at The W are absolutely amazing, always ensuring that everything is running smoothly. Aspen has nightlife, and Ponyboy is where it’s at, inside the W on the main level.
Expectations:
Often, couples will choose a combination of a couple of the above venues to host their rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or wedding brunch, while their wedding day is at one of the other venues, typically held at The Little Nell.
As a photographer with over a decade of experience capturing luxury weddings, I can say without hesitation that The Little Nell, St. Regis Aspen, Hotel Jerome & The W are the top wedding venues in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Each of these venues offers something unique and special. They all have a team of professionals who will ensure that your wedding is an unforgettable event that you’ll treasure for years to come.
